Spring Recap
The 2008-2009 athletic year has come to a close.
I can't say enough about our athletes and coaches and all of the
hard work that was put into this year. We captured four NECC
championships; women's cross-country, women's volleyball, women's
basketball and softball capped what has been an amazing and very
successful year for Lesley Athletics.
Along with the championships, our men's and women's soccer teams
each made it to the NECC Championship finals and our men's tennis
finished second in the NECC standings in only it's second year of
existance.
Our softball team also qualified for the ECAC Softball
Chamipnships for the first ever appearance by a Lesley Team in that
tournament.
Many of our student-athletes were honored as NECC All-Conference
selections while also being named to the NECC All-Academic team .
We have had some truly outstanding achievements.
Looking forward, we wil be adding women's tennis this upcoming
fall 2009 as a new varsity team and adding baseball as a new sport
the following year in 2010.
I want to also send out a special thank you to all of the Lesley
Athletic parents for all of their support throughout this year.
I truly look forward to seeing all of our teams compete next year,
the fall can't come soon enough.
Thank you to all that supported Lesley Athletics and for making
this a very special year.
