Christy J.H. Belisle is entering her fourth year as Lesley University's Student-Athlete Academic Coordinator.  Belisle boasts a broad background in education, including traveling with the AIDS Memorial Quilt as a guest lecturer/educator, producing and directing a short documentary, "Threads," teaching documentary film production as part of the Cambodian Missing History Project, collegiate and youth premiere coaching and instruction and curriculum development at the college level.  Belisle serves as the academic advisor for all First Year Student-Athletes and the faculty advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC).   She teaches courses for the University in both the Professional Studies and Social Science divisions, as well as First Year Seminar for Student-Athletes.

Belisle played an integral part in building a team of scholar-athletes through effective recruitment as the former Head Women's Soccer Coach at Lesley University.  As a direct result of her commitment to achievement in the classroom, Lesley Women's Soccer was the recipient of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Scholar-Athlete Award in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 before her transition to Student-Athlete Academic Services.

Belisle was a starter and key offensive player during her seasons at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland.  Belisle was second in scoring in 1994 and was honored twice as a Capital Athletic Conference player of the week.  She later went on to play semi-professional soccer with the Rhode Island Stingrays in the W-league.  Belisle continues to hold the all-time record for career and individual season scoring at Bristol High School in Rhode Island, as well as maintaining a place in the State's top scoring records.

Belisle is a graduate of both the undergraduate program at Lesley University and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences earning a Master of Education focused in Leadership and Team building through the Arts.

Belisle is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics and a graduate of the N4A Professional Development Institute, Leadership and Management Track.
