CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Campus Activities Board jumped started the fall athletics season with the Lynx Fall Kick-Off 2008 this past Friday and Saturday on the campus of Lesley University.
Over the course of two days, events were held on campus to promote all of the fall athletic programs at Lesley University. The kick-off was a student-run event, managed by student-athletes Katie Bennett, Dana Datillo, and Matt Grassa.
Friday night featured numerous activities including a live performance from Ellis Ashbrook, Water Buffalos and inflatable sporting games, street sign making, and Lynx Fantatic Bingo. Students who attended were also served a barbeque with burgers, hot dogs, salad, dessert and much more.
The following day, fans were in attendance for the Lesley University vs. Rivier College men's and women's soccer games. The doubleheader saw one of the biggest crowds a Lynx home sporting event has ever seen.
The Lynx Fall Kick-Off 2008 truly served its purpose in creating awareness for fall athletics while involving all students at Lesley.
