    Muratore Earns Second Victory of the Season, Lynx Sweep Spartans Junior right-hander Tom Muratore (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) earned his second victory of the season as the Lynx completed their first doubleheader sweep of 2017 defeating D’Youville College, Saturday afternoon. Muratore tossed a complete game allowing one run on four hits while striking out seven in a 3-1 game one victory.

    Lynx Split with Chargers Sophomore first baseman Ryan Pumphret (Shewsbury, Mass.) tied his career single-game high going four-for-four with three RBIs in a 6-5 comeback win in game one over Colby-Sawyer. Despite another valiant comeback attempt in game two, the Lynx dropped the second game to the Chargers, 11-7.

    Slaby, Muratore, Lynx Open 2017 With a 4-3 Victory over Springfield Junior righthander Tom Muratore (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) picked up the decision in the Lynx’s rain-shortened, 4-3, victory over Springfield College, Sunday afternoon, to open the 2017 season. Muratore went the distance allowing just two earned runs while scattering eight hits and striking out five in Lesley’s first victory against a NEWMAC institution.

    Baseball Tabbed Second in NECC Pre-Season Coaches Poll The Lesley University baseball program was chosen second in the 2017 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Pre-Season Coaches Poll, announced Tuesday afternoon. The Lynx, who finished the 2016 season with a program-best 19-21 overall record and 10-8 conference record, received a total of 31 points including two first place votes.
