Mark Montgomery is an alumnus of Lesley University (class of
2008) and former captain of the Lesley men's soccer team is
entering his second year on staff.
During his playing days at Lesley he earned All-Conference and
All-Academic honors as he helped lead the team to its first playoff
appearance in only the second season of the program's
existence.
Mark holds several soccer coaching qualifications including the
1st 4 Sport Level 2 Certificate, Psychology for Soccer (Level 1)
and Certificate in Coaching Disabled Soccer Players. Mark has
worked extensively with youth and adult teams in England and the
United States, so the move from player to coach is a natural
progression.
Mark jumped at the chance to continue working with the Lesley
University men's soccer program and has stated his intent for next
season, "I can't wait for the preseason to begin! I've been
playing soccer since I can remember, it's in my blood. The
upcoming season represents a chance to bring to fruition the hard
work of Coach Paul, Coach Costa, and the lads to give the Lesley
community a soccer program of which they can be rightly proud."
