Nine Lynx among 89 Academic All-NECC Student-Athletes
Nine Lesley University students were among the 89 Academic All-NECC student-athletes for the spring semester, the league announced Tuesday.

Lesley freshman Paolo DiPietrantonio has been named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Year, the league announced today. Additionally, four Lynx players received All-NECC First Team honors.

Lesley's first-place men's tennis team improved to 9-0 on the season with a 9-0 win over Wheelock Monday night. In his first time in the fifth singles slot, senior Beau Morimando was victorious, 6-2, 6-3.

David Newton and Tyler Reeves celebrated Senior Day with 6-0, 6-0 victories as Lesley stayed undefeated at 8-0 on the season, topping Newbury, 9-0, Saturday evening in Cambridge.

Tennis improves to 7-0 with 5-4 win over Becker
Lesley men's tennis improved to 7-0 in 2011 with a 5-4 road win at Becker College. David Newton picked up singles and doubles wins, beating Jake Gilbert 6-0, 6-3 in first singles and teaming with Alex Zhitnik for an 8-3 first doubles win.

After a 4-0 week in singles play and a 3-1 week in doubles action, Lesley sophomore Nick Mattox has been named NECC Player of the Week.

Lynx move to 6-0, sneak past Regis, 5-4
Lesley's perfect start to 2011 continued, as the Lynx left Regis with a 5-4 victory. After losing all three doubles matches, Lesley captured five of six singles points. Nick Mattox improved to 4-0 on the week with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.

Lynx take over first place in sinking Mariners, 5-4
Lesley moved into first place in the NECC with a 5-4 win over two-time defending champion Mitchell College. The Lynx won two doubles points and Tyler Reeves' 7-5, 6-4 victory in sixth singles gave Lesley the match, leaving the Lynx alone atop the league standings.
