Men's Volleyball Drop Two in Tri-Match


Beverly, Mass.--The Lesley men's volleyball team dropped both matches in a tri-match hosted at Endicott College on Saturday afternoon.  Lesley fell to Dean College in the first match in three straight sets, and then was swept by Endicott to close out the afternoon.  The two losses bring the Lynx to an 0-11 overall record and 0-9 in NECC Conference play.

Lesley vs. Dean Highlights:

  • Lesley opened the first set on a 6-0 run and held a 12-11 lead halfway through the set.  The Bulldogs rallied to an 10-3 run to take a 21-15 lead, and eventual 25-16 set win, and momentum the rest of the match.
  • The Bulldogs closed out the match with set wins of 25-14 and 25-19 to complete the sweep.
  • Alexander Genova (Groton, MA.) led the 4 kills and 8 digs, while Steven Newman (Natick, MA.) added 4 service aces.
  • Andrew Medeiros (Bristol, R.I.)helped stop the Bulldogs attack with a team nigh 9 digs.

Lesley vs. Endicott:

  • No. 7 Endicott College proved their strength with the match sweep with set scores of 25-8, 25-10, and 25-8.
  • Genova had team highs in 4 kills and 5 digs. 


Lesley returns to the court at home on Wednesday evening when they take on Endicott College for a rematch.
