      <description>BROOKLINE, Mass. - The Lesley University men's volleyball team took on a talented Newbury College Nighthawks team in the first round of the New England Collegiate Conference Championships and were defeated 3-0 (6-30, 7-30, 12-30).  The Lynx came in as the #4 seed in the tournament while the Nighthawks were the #1 seed.</description>

      <description>ATTLEBORO, Mass.-Newbury College has claimed the top seed for the 2009 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Men's Volleyball Championship, which takes place Saturday, March 28th on the campus of Hellenic College in Brookline, Mass. The Nighthawks (22-10 overall) earned the top spot in the upcoming NECC tournament after finishing with a 7-1 conference record.</description>

Lesley dropped to 2-16 (1-10 NECVA) on the season and will look to rebound at this Saturday's tri-match against Newbury College and Southern Vermont College.</description>
