Sarah Wilson wins NAC Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Sarah Wilson (Lowell, MA) became the second Lynx this season to be honored by the NAC as Player of the Week.

Wilson received the accolade in a week in which Lesley played just two games due to poor weather conditions.  However, in those two games Wilson put on an offensive clinic.

In a doubleheader against the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Wilson batted 4-6 with 2 HR's and 9 RBI.  The 9 RBI is the second most in school history during a doubleheader.  Wilson started the doubleheader with an opposite field three-run homerun and then ended her day with homerun shot to left center that scored three as well.

After starting the season slow Wilson has been on an absolute tear of late.  Wilson is currently batting .341 with 4 HR's, 23 RBI and 12 runs scored.  When the NAC stat leaders get posted later in the week it should be no surprise to see Wilson topping the RBI and the HR categories.

Wilson and the rest of the Lynx look to continue to terrorize the rest of the NAC as they have back-to-back conference games this week against Mount Ida College and Becker College.  For more information on Wilson or the Lesley softball team please go to their website.
