CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University blistered past Daniel Webster College taking both ends of a New England Collegiate Conference doubleheader this afternoon at Buckingham Field in Lesley's home opener. Sophomore Kaera Wyse (Reading, Mass.) tossed a no-hitter in game one while the offense put up 26 runs in the shutout before taking a 20-1 decision in the second matchup of the afternoon.
The Lynx kick off conference play at 2-0 while improving their overall record to 3-7 while the Eagles drop to 0-2 in the NECC and 0-4 overall. Both sides were scheduled to return to NECC play tomorrow, but all games have been postponed due to the impending weather.
Game One: DWC 0, Lesley 26 (Final – 5 Innings)
Wyse was superb in her first start at Buckingham Field, not yielding a single hit while walking just two. The sophomore right-hander racked up eight strikeouts and set the lineup down in order in three innings.
This marks the first no-no for the Lynx as a program since the 2014 season when Jordan Thomas blanked Southern Vermont College in an 8-0 victory.

Lesley freshman Abby Henderson (Rochester, N.H.) led the charge, going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and four runs scored. The rookie backstop blasted the first home run of her career – a towering shot deep to left field - in a 12-run third inning.
Fellow freshman and Rochester, N.H. native Jordan Raab (Rochester, N.H.) also finished with three hits to go along with a pair of RBI and runs scored while junior Mekenzi Golden (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) added a pair of singles.
