      <title>Lesley softball in the spirit of giving</title>

      <description>CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University softball team has conducted several community service projects during the fall semester, each of which has focused on providing a valuable need to those less fortunate.  During the first semester, the team has organized a peanut butter and jelly drive, a winter coat and accessories drive, and a trip to a local soup kitchen.</description>

      <description>CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced the Fall Ball schedule for all teams today and the Lynx, who went 27-14 (15-1 NECC) and won the New England Collegiate Conference Championship in 2009, have drawn some stiff competition.  Lesley plays three different schools in a one-day tournament on Sunday, September 27, 2009 starting at 9:00 am.</description>

The top two seeds of the tournament, Lesley University and Elms College, were upset on day one but Lesley won their second game to stave off elimination while Elms got swept for an early tournament exit.</description>

With conference play over, the Lynx improved to 23-10 (13-1 NECC) while Wheelock dropped to 7-20 (7-9 NECC) and will wait to find out their current standing with playoffs approaching.</description>

      <description>LONGMEADOW, Mass. - Lesley holds onto the top spot in the conference sweeping Bay Path in a New England Collegiate Conference softball double header.  Both games finished with a final score of 9-1. Lesley was led by junior catcher Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) with a two-game .833 batting average (5-for-6) and four runs. Jodi Fralick chipped in her first homer on the season along with 4 RBI and two doubles for the Lynx.</description>
