Lynx among 40 teams in action at Tufts Stampede

MEDFORD, MA -- Both Lesley's men's and women's track teams were among the 40 Division-II and D-III teams in action on Saturday at the Tufts University Invitational Stampede.

In the men's 800-meter run, Lesley's Dillon Simmons finished 11th out of 27 with a time of two minutes, three seconds, and sophomore Chris Conforti finished 18th at 2:06. The Lynx team of Conforti, Kyle Casiglio, Simmons and Max Bulger placed sixth out of 12 teams in the 4x800-meter relay at 8:29. 

For the Lynx women, freshman sprinter Christina Ogunti finished in the middle of the pack in the 200-meter dash, coming in 27th out of 50 at 29.10. On the distance side, juniors Keryn Thorvaldsen and Noa Kupfer finished ninth and 10th, respectively, in the 5,000-meter run at 19 minutes, 32 seconds and 20:19.

Lesley's women return to the track on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Boston University's Valentine Invitational. The men run at BU on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m.
