22 fall student-athletes named to Academic All-NECC Team
Lesley athletes accounted for 22 of the NECC's 172 students honored by the league on its Fall 2011Academic All-Conference Team.

Michelle Side named All-NECC; Lynx win team award
Lesley's Michelle Side was named All-New England Collegiate Conference First Team, the league announced Monday. The Lynx also won the NECC's Team Sportsmanship Award.

Constantine, Scolaro win doubles, Lynx fall 5-1 NECC's
The team of Christina Constantine and Emily Scolaro earned their first win of the year in third doubles, but it would be the only point the Lynx picked up in the team's season-ending loss at Bay Path.

Bay Path won first and third doubles points in topping Lesley, 5-4, in New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis play Wednesday night in Cambridge. For the Lynx, Brenna Donovan earned singles and doubles victories.

Lesley won all six singles and all three doubles points in a 9-0 victory over Mitchell in New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis play Saturday afternoon. Michelle Side paced the Lynx with wins in first singles and first doubles.

Sophomore Emily Scolaro was victorious in his third singles debut but was the only Lynx to earn a win in Lesley's 8-1 loss at Regis Thursday night.

The first-place Lynx improved to 3-0 in NECC play with a 9-0 sweep of visiting Mitchell College Sunday afternoon at Nicholas Athletics Center. Lesley's Emily Scolaro picked up wins in fifth singles and third doubles.

Lesley's Nicole Smith and Brenna Donovan were victorious in second and third singles and combined for a second doubles victory in Lesley's 5-4 win over Regis College. With the win, the Lynx move above .500 and into first place at 2-0 in NECC play.

After finishing third in the New England Collegiate Conference a season ago, Marty Morrissey's Lynx were picked to finish in third place again. The team placed third in the NECC coaches' preseason poll, the league announced Thursday.

Women's tennis dropped its season opener, 7-2, Friday afternoon in non-league play at Mount Ida. For the Lynx, Katie Side and Nicole Smith earned points in second and third singles, respectively.
