Women's volleyball falls in semis to Newbury 3-1
NASHUA, N.H. - Lesley University faced off against Newbury College in the New England Collegiate Conference Semifinals on Saturday afternoon, but the Lynx fell 3-1 to the Nighthawks ending their quest for back-to-back conference championships.

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference announced their women's volleyball all-conference winners and senior Lindsey Marek (KILLINGWORTH, Conn./Haddam-Killingworth) has been named Player of the Year by the conference.

Volleyball advances to semifinals with 3-0 over Becker
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The number three seed Lesley University women’s volleyball team defeated the number six seed Becker College 3-0 (25-10, 25-11, 25-14) in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Quarterfinals. The Lynx advanced to the semifinals which will be played this weekend.

Women's volleyball to host quarterfinal match
ATTLEBORO, Mass.--Daniel Webster College has claimed the top seed in the 2009 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women’s Volleyball Championship, which begins with quarterfinal matchups on campus sites Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. The Eagles (14-6 overall) earned the top spot in the upcoming NECC tournament after posting a perfect 7-0 conference record.

McCracken dominant in 3-1 victory over Simmons
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In their final home match of the regular season, the Lesley University women’s volleyball capitalized on a dominating performance by freshman Amanda McCracken (ELDERSBURG, Md./Liberty) to beat Simmons College 3-1. The Lynx dropped the first set to the Sharks, but regrouped to win three straight en route to victory.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s volleyball team extended their season high win-streak to four games with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-14) victory over Great Northeast Athletic Conference opponent Pine Manor College.

Lesley sweeps home NECC trimatch
CAMBRIDGE, MA – Lesley University hosted the Wildcats of Bay Path College and the Mariners of Mitchell College in a New England Collegiate Conference tri-match. Lesley University got its first conference wins of the year as they won the first match against Mitchell College 3-0 and defeated Bay Path College in the final match of the day 3-0.

Lesley falls to Mount Ida in straight sets, 3-0
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s volleyball team fought hard through three sets against Mount Ida but the Lynx fell to the Mustangs for the second time this season by the score of 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-20). Lesley dropped to 4-9 after the loss while Mount Ida improved to 7-7 (2-3 GNAC).

Lesley outlasts Suffolk in fifth set to win 3-2
BOSTON, Mass. – In a match that was eerily similar to the 2007 meeting between Lesley University and Suffolk University, the Lynx once against scraped by the Rams 3-2 (19-25, 26-24, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13). Lesley improved to 4-8 with the victory while Suffolk dropped to 5-6.

Lynx lose despite 16 kills from Marek
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Lesley University women’s volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-20) loss to St. Joseph’s College (CT) on Monday evening. The defeat dropped the Lady Lynx record down to 2-7 on the season.

Women's volleyball falls to St. Joseph's (ME), 3-1
STANDISH, Maine – The Lesley University women’s volleyball team lost to St. Joseph’s College 3-1 on Tuesday evening, dropping their 2009 record to 2-6 on the season. The Monks improved to 8-4 after winning their fourth match in-a-row.

Lesley falls to Lasell in home opener
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s volleyball team faced Lasell College in their home opener but lost the Lasers 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-18). With the loss, the Lynx drop to 1-2 on the early season while the Lasers got their first victory of the season to move to 1-4.

Lady Lynx split Maine volleyball trimatch
CASTINE, Maine – The Lesley University women’s volleyball team kicked off their 2009 season by splitting a tri-match with host Maine Maritime Academy and UMaine-Machias. The Lynx were defeated in the opener by Maine Maritime 3-0, but responded with an impressive victory over Machias 3-0.

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College has been tabbed as the preseason favorite to capture the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women’s volleyball championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the NECC’s head women’s volleyball coaches.
