22 fall student-athletes named to Academic All-NECC Team
Lesley athletes accounted for 22 of the NECC's 172 students honored by the league on its Fall 2011Academic All-Conference Team.

Lesley freshman Danielle Johnson was named All-New England Collegiate Conference Third Team, the league announced today. Megan Ortwein was named All-NECC Honorable Mention.

Eagles soar in 3-0 playoff win over Lynx
Lesley's hot streak and 2011 season came to an end simultaneously, as Daniel Webster handed the Lynx a 3-0 loss in NECC Playoff First Round action Tuesday night in Nashua, NH. Kayla Henry totaled six kills and six digs in her final match as a Lynx.

Lesley rallied from an 0-2 deficit to knock of second-place Newbury, 3-2, Sunday afternoon on Kayla Henry's senior day. Henry led all players with four service aces as the Lynx have now won five of their last seven.

For a second match in a row, Lesley jumped out to a 2-0 match lead, this time putting its opponent away in four sets, winning 3-1 on the road over Regis in NECC action.

Early leads in the opening two sets put Lesley in front 2-0, but the Amcats scraped back to tie the contest at 2-2 before a Game 5 comeback sent the Lynx to victory Monday night, 3-2 over Anna Maria.

Lynx take league win, split tri-match at Becker
Lesley bested Becker for a 3-1 NECC win and dropped a non-conference tilt with Eastern Nazarene in Saturday's tri-match hosted by Becker. Junior Megan Ortwein led the Lynx offense, combining for 26 kills over the two matches.

Despite a valiant effort from the Lynx in the third set, visiting Southern Vermont was able to take only three sets in securing its third straight win Wednesday night, 3-0 over Lesley.

Lesley battled to force a fifth set but the host Mariners scored five of the match's last six points in earning a 3-2 win Saturday. NECC Rookie of the Week Danielle Johnson led all players with 19 kills on 50 attempts.

Leading the second set 24-20, Lesley looked poised to tie the match 1-1, but Lasell came from behind with a 7-1 run to top the Lynx in three sets. Junior Megan Ortwein led all players with 10 kills.

Lesley won the opening set, 25-20, but the Eagles responded with three straight wins over the visiting Lynx Tuesday night in NECC women's volleyball play. Kate Miller handed out 20 assists for the Lynx.

Wildcats overcome 2-0 deficit for 3-2 win over Lynx
Danielle Johnson totaled 16 kills and 22 digs, but Lesley let a 2-0 match lead slip away and twice failed to take advantage of match point in Game 5, losing 3-2 to visiting Bay Path. Rachel Frederickson added a team-best 27 digs in the loss.

Lesley used a .237 team hitting percentage in the third set to open up a 2-1 match lead, pulling away in the fourth for a 3-1 win over visiting Curry. Freshman Danielle Johnson led all players with 13 kills, and junior setter Kate Miller set a match-high 31 assists.

Volleyball splits 2011 openers at Maine Maritime
The Lynx fell in three sets Saturday morning to host Maine Maritime but turned around to sweep Maine-Presque Isle in Lesley's 2011 openers. In the Lynx win over UMPI, junior Kate Miller led all players with 20 assists and a .625 hitting percentage.
