|Title:||Head Coach, Women's Volleyball|
Stimson is a 2007 graduate of Fordham University in Bronx, N.Y. where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing all while putting together an impressive career on the court.
A four-year scholarship player, Stimson’s name is riddled throughout the Rams record books, including amassing 1,169 career kills (6th all-time) and 144 serving aces (4th all-time). She was the first player in program history to be named Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference and was named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Stimson also served as team captain during her senior season.
Prior to arriving at Fordham, Stimson was the first athlete to receive the New Hampshire Gatorade Player of the year in two consecutive years, as she led Milford High School to two consecutive undefeated state championships.
Stimson jumped right to the sidelines following her illustrious career, serving as a coach with the New York Juniors program (New York, N.Y.), Hardrock Volleyball Club (Milford, N.H.), and the Bentley Volleyball Camps (Waltham, Mass.).
For the past three seasons, she has served as the head girls’ volleyball coach at Ashland High School (Ashland, Mass.) where she twice led the Clockers to two state tournaments and was named 2011 Tri-Valley League Coach of the Year.
Patrick Helmas joined Lesley University as assistant women's volleyball coach in September 2012.
Helmas came to the Lynx after a year as assistant men's club volleyball coach at Bryant University. At Bryant, he helped coach the Bulldogs club team to a 20-1 season, and a second place finish in the New England Collegiate Volleyball League (NECVL).
In four years as a player in Bryant's club program, Helmas' team improved every year, from an 11-10 record in his freshman season to an undefeated 21-0 season and league championship his senior year. In his four years as a Bulldog, Helmas earned three All-NECVL selections, two as a libero and one as an outside hitter.
Helmas also coached volleyball at the high school level for Concord-Carlisle (MA) Regional High School and Needham (MA) High School, and has also coached high school junior volleyball for SMASH and Boston Power.
Prior to his collegiate volleyball experience, Helmas was a four year varsity starting setter at Norwood (MA) High School. In this time, Helmas earned two Bay State League All-Star awards, one Boston Globe All-Scholastic award and was a two-year team captain. Helmas led his team to two sectional finals playoff appearances and is Norwood's all-time assists leader.
