Nine fall athletes earn NECC Academic All-Conference
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference released their Fall 2008 NECC Academic All-Conference award winners and Lesley is proud to announce that nine fall athletes were on the list. Juniors and seniors who held a grade point average of 3.40 or higher on a 4.0 scale were recognized.

Lesley sets the bar for next year at NCAA Regionals
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. The Lesley University mens and womens cross country teams traveled to Williams College for their final race of the 2008 season, the NCAA Regional Qualifier. Both teams competed with the best Division III running programs in New England and left the race having set new records.

Lynx runners earn top 20 finishes at ECAC Championship
BRISTOL, R.I. The mens and womens cross country teams competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships this past week in Bristol, Rhode Island at Colt State Park and the top runners from each team finished in the top 20 overall.

Lesley takes home women's cross country NECC title
JAMAICA PLAIN, Mass. After a dominating performance at Franklin Park on Sunday afternoon, the Lesley University womens cross country team took the first ever New England Collegiate Conference Title and captured the first conference championship in the three year history of the program.

Lynx prep for NECC Championships at Saints Invitational
BOSTON, Mass. The Lesley University mens and womens cross country teams raced at Franklin Park for the Saints Invitational this past week in preparation for the NECC Championships. Both teams had impressive finishes as they worked to get ready for a competitive race with the rest of their conference opponents.

Charlotte Goff wins Roger Williams Invitational
BRISTOL, R.I. Saturday marked another historical day in the history of Lesley University cross country as it was the first time that a female runner finished first overall in a major event. Charlotte Goff (Osterville, Mass.) achieved this feat at the Roger Williams Invitational as she bested a field of 124 runners with a time of 19:56.28.

Men's XC records first team finish at Gordon
WENTHAM, Mass. History was made at the Pop Crowell Invitational, as the Lesley University mens cross country team earned a team score for the first time ever in the four years of the programs existence.

NECC selects Goff as Runner of the Week for third time
ATTLEBORO, Mass. Charlotte Goff (Osterville, Mass.) has established herself as the top runner in the New England Collegiate Conference after another gutsy performance this past weekend at the Blazer Invitational. For her efforts, the NECC honored Goff as Runner of the Week for the third time this season.

NECC honors Charlotte Goff for second time in 2008
ATTLEBORO, Mass. A week after recording her personal best in a 5K event at the Smith Invitational and earning Player of the Week, lightning struck twice for Charlotte Goff (Osterville, Mass.) after a dominating performance at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational. Goff shattered her week-long personal record and in the process won the respect of the NECC once again with Player of the Week honors.

Smith Invitational brings out the best in Lynx runners
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. The competition was fierce and the course was extremely challenging at the Smith Invitation on Saturday, but both the mens and womens cross country teams were impressive. Sophomore Charlotte Goff (Osterville, Mass.) ran a personal best and Fran Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) was near the top of a powerful group of runners.

2008 Lesley University Cross-Country Preview
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - There is much excitement in the air as preseason begins for the Lesley University Cross-Country Team. In only its third season of existence, the Lynx might be competing for its first conference championship. Last year was about creating a foundation based on a family model. This year we build on this foundation and set our sights on winning.
