Domingo wins NECC fifth singles title

NEW LONDON, CT -- Lesley's Christian Domingo won the New England Collegiate Conference fifth singles title on Sunday, beating Mitchell College's Andrew Small, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Domingo prevented a sweep from the host Mariners, as Mitchell captured all three doubles titles and all five other singles flights. Lesley's David Newton and Alex Zhitnik fell in first doubles play to Mitchell's Kyle Carmona and Rocco Devona, 8-2.

Carmona completed an undefeted season and later bested Newton in first singles, 6-2, 6-2, and Carmona upended Lesley's Nick Mattox in second singles, 6-0, 6-1.
