NEW LONDON, CT. -- The Lesley women's basketball team fell to the Mitchell Mariners on Tuesday night by a score of 89-34. The Lynx drop to 0-15 on the season and 0-11 in the conference, while the Mariners advance to 12-8 and 8-2 in the conference.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Dakota Jones was most of the offense for the Lynx on the night. She scored 28 points and collected 18 rebounds. Jones also added one assist, steal, and block. She is currently the NECC leader in points per game with 23 and rebounds per game at a 15.1 mark.
- The Mariners got points from each one of their players. Le'Sandra Turner had a triple-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Turner also had four steals and shot eight of twelve from the field.
- Sam McKenna and Ramzie Jones had 10 points each for Mitchell, with Jones coming off the bench. Mitchell shot 48.8% from the field as a team and outrebounded the Lynx 51 to 33.
The Lynx travel to Dean College for a conference matchup on Thursday February 13th at 7:30 PM.
